Tara Steak & Lobster House has been serving residents and visitors of Marco Island an award winning combination of steak and seafood complimented by exceptional service, an award winning wine list, and live entertainment for nearly a decade.

Tara, a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University in Business & Restaurant Management, was groomed in the art of running a successful restaurant by her father, Richie Trevethan, who after his passing in 2004, took on the day-to-day operations of the business along with her mother Jeannie.

About Us...

Like most successful partnerships the mother/daughter duo has effectively merged their talents, with each overseeing different aspects of the business. As General Manager, Tara supervises daily operations and is responsible for employee training, maintaining a quality kitchen and dining environment, inventory control, and keeping abreast of current market and industry trends. Jeannie, on the other hand, oversees advertising, promotions, meeting budgetary goals, and most importantly, recipe development.

In 2006 the team oversaw the renovation and remodeling of the restaurants lounge and dining room, and take great pride in maintaining the restaurant’s uncompromising levels of quality, consistency, and superior guest relations.

“Tara will always reflect our family’s passion for food, wine, and good times being shared with family and friends in an inviting atmosphere,” states Tara. “When you dine with us, you truly are a guest in our house, and we look forward to continuing to share the Tara dining experience with our new and longtime Island friends.”

An active member in the community, Tara serves on the board of the Marco Island chapter of the Florida Restaurant Association and is an avid supporter of the Chamber of Commerce, Hospice of Naples, YMCA, Rotary Club, and Arts League of Marco Island.
